The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has decided to suspend its planned strike expected to begin Monday.
President of the Association, Dr. Osahon Enabulele, who spoke at a press briefing in Abuja, Sunday, explained that this was to allow for full implementation of all the elements of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) set by the government.
He said that all medical and dental practitioners throughout the country have been directed to continue to render their normal services to the people of Nigeria.
He disclosed that NMA will meet on February 7, with government to assess the seriousness of the government on the implementation of the MoU.
